Tell us a little about
yourself. I was born and
raised in the inner city in
Washington, DC. Reading was a
mental escape for me from what
transpired around me in my
neighborhood. It was a way to
travel, see the world and have
adventures without ever having
to leave our cramped little
apartment. My mother expected me
to be a great speaker some day,
so she trained me to speak with
purpose and clarity. She was an
avid reader and it rubbed off on
me. And the Lord placed deep
within me, at an early age, the
desire to write and communicate
the basic principles of His Word
using writing and public
speaking as tools.
What was your motivation
behind this project? I have
a burning desire from the Lord,
to help change the image that
the Body of Christ has of
itself, and of the things of
God, from a "World View" to a
"Word View". And to help and
encourage Believers in learning
how to be 'effective'in their
day to day battles..
What do you hope folks
will gain from this project? It
is our desire that believers and
unbelievers alike gain a better
understanding of the reality of
the spiritual realm around us.
Believers, from the stand point
of understanding that we are NOT
alone. That the Lord has
assigned Angels that are
actively fighting not only 'for'
us, but also 'with us' against
the forces of darkness. And for
unbelievers to realize that they
are a hunted species, pursued
relentlessly and ruthlessly by
Satan and his minions and that
the 'only' true ark of safety is
in the arms of the Lord Jesus
Christ, surrounded by His power.
Who are your influences,
sources of inspiration or
favorite authors / artists? Since
I was 7 years old, I have been
an avid reader. Beginning with
the Bible and the books of
Daniel and Revelation, I would
read them over and over. Later I
discovered fiction and was
fascinated with authors' use of
words. I would take the "writers
tests" included in Writer's
Digest Magazine and fancy that
'one day'.
Anything else you'd like
readers / listeners to know: That
we love them, thank the Lord for
them, and we appreciate them
reading our book. May it be as
much of an inspiration for them
to read, as it was for me to
write. God bless you. (Please
pray for us because I have begun
working on the sequel and two
companion books for 'Dark
Things.')
