Great read! I was glued to the pages as the lives were protected and saved by mighty angels and deceived and ruined as puppets by mighty the Dark-Things.
David's vision of Satan creating "Death" was awesome, I was in the lab, frozen as the plot unfolded and transformed the unwitting demon into Death it self. Keep writing and your gift will make room for itself. And keep praying the enemies/Dark-Things are not pleased when someone turns on the light.

This book is really good. I don't like reading books to much but this book I could not put it down. Mr. Humphrey Sr has done an excellent job on keeping the reader on the edge from page to page. I would highly recommend this life changing book to everyone. After reading this book you will realize how important it is to hear from God and to follow His direction. I found the book "Dark Things" to be packed with realistic information regarding God's love for us and the satanic forces of this world in its storyline. The storyline is so real that I found myself relating to how satanic forces, if you let it, can take complete control of your life. Mr. Humphrey did an outstanding job through this book of telling how we must always be mindful of who and what we deal with and that if we are not sure that it is Godly to shun it. After reading the book I have found that I have become even more aware of the things that go on not only around me but within me as a person. I would advise everyone to get a copy of this book to read.

This is without a doubt Hollywood movie material! If they think Jason and Jason returns 15 times will draw a crowd, what would happen if they ever had enough guts to put the "real thing" on the big screen?!
The battle for man's soul has been so clearly described here that even the biggest doubting Thomas would have to rethink their position on whether or not there is a God.
This book offers entertainment, excitment, and deep thought provoking situations for the reader.

Such a great book,it's a definite page turner. It brings out the clearer picture of good and evil in the spirit world. Our Angels are out there, whether we pay attention to thier warnings or not. Virginia did not pay any attention to the warning she got, she ends up paying a high price for that.

The fight scenes are incredibly visual, they are captivating, exciting and chilling. They compel you to read more to find out what's going to happen next!This has to be made into a movie!  I can't wait for the sequel!

There are novels that, when you pick them up you can put them down. Where the intention of perusing a few pages before bed is the goal, NOT in this case....
DARK THINGS is a treat of true delightful excitement and pure adrenaline. From the moment you begin, you are thrown into the very thick of chaos. A whirlwind of drama and mayhem surround you as you learn of the characters plight and names. What seems like a quick intro, is merely a formality... for as the story quickly unfolds your feeling of angst grows.
This is a story unlike any other. It's characters? Humans ... Celestial Angels... Dark things, and the plot, this combination makes for the best incredible read you will ever have!

This is not a book you put down ...UNTIL YOU'RE FINISHED... otherwise you will annoyingly find that, "life" just gets in the way. Many times I found that I couldn't stop reading and when I did... my mind was reeling. Sleep wasn't important, finding out what happened to the characters was.
I was right there.... in the operating room as Virginia barely clung to life, there when Mahatiel was attacked... there when the dark things plotted to steal what didn't belong to them... there as they devoured souls in there path..... there.. NO! It wont do for you to just read the review. This is a novel that has to be read to gain the FULL understanding of what I mean.

It's hard to believe that such an piece of work is the first for David M. Humphrey Sr.
The images and clarity of this work of literary art mandates it be read. I honestly believe that this only the first of many novels to come. In excited anticipation I eagerly await the next installment. As a voracious reader, I have to say that this is a book that all who read will enjoy.
DARK THINGS will make an incredible movie. It has everything to captivate an audience and MORE! The word is spreading about DARK THINGS.
This is definitely one for your book club(s). So if you've found that your book club is a little drab... in need of some life... this the book.

What an awesome book! I couldn't put it down--the first chapter was captivating! This book opened my eyes up to what goes on in the spirit world. There are constant battles over our souls and this book expose the secret to winning the battle. We hold the power and victory once we confess Jesus as Lord and utilize His name and blood. Wow, this was a bible lesson and spiritual awaken all in one book. I'm anxiously awaiting the sequel!

A fantastic read! This is not just another book about good vs. evil, this is simply the TRUTH. Mr Humphrey captures the attention of the reader with words that make the scenes leap off the page. A definite page turner. The next time it rains, I will stop and wonder. This book is a must when it comes to understanding angels and demons and how they operate in our lives. Captivating Story of Good vs. Evil personified

When I first heard the author read a brief from Darkthings, I complemented him. I said, 'You write like Frank Perretti.' The book is an excellent read. The Word of God truly comes alive through his writing,and through graphic illustrations and depiction of angelic and demonic spirits,spiritual warfare is personified at its best. What really captivated me was the sceniaro of when the Saints of the Most High God interceded on the behalf of others, the author depicted 'drops of blood' raining on the demonic forces. The devil and his imps cannot stand the blood of Jesus. There is power in the name of JESUS, the blood of Jesus; and the Word; and the author demonstrated this power to the reader through the 'show,don't tell' principle. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading novels on 'good vs. evil.' In the last book of the Bible, it is written...we WIN!
