THE GATHERING
Rushing from
every direction
I see and watch them come.
Their numbers swell like oceans
and they surge forth into battle as one.
Hear their
weapons rattle
Swords and arrows and bows
The Winds of War are coming
I can hear them begin to blow
A sea of spears
is before me
And glitters like any army of stars
I feel the breeze and roar of their passing
I see them gathering from near and from far.
Their once was
the sick, lame and downtrodden
the backslidden and the oppressed
Now, they are the committed, the focused and the vengeful
An Army of the Anointed and Blessed.
They rise up
from their captivity and bondage
Impotent darkness and hold them no more
"For thou my battle axe" says the Holy Spirit
"And Thou art My Weapons of War!"
Jer. 51:20
